By Sharad Kumar Churiwala

Big Stomach is an annoyance in some or other manner. Effect of it is visible in your family and healthy life. Your big stomach is getting so much unnecessary attention. The underlying factor behind our big stomach is that we intake more calories than we burn. Let us look at the reasons in detail:

Having a Big Meal at one go: Food habit plays a major role, when it comes to your big stomach. The quantum and quality of food intake determines whether you are going to have a normal stomach or a big one. If you have the habit of taking large quantum of food at one go, then chances are that you are consuming lot of calories. Thus, body is not able to process the same that in turn leads to belly fat.

Too Indulgent in Fast Food: In today fast paced live, every body wants to save on time. Therefore, fast foods serve this purpose very well. However, in this process, you are missing the main point, the point; it contains lot of calories, which is not good for your health. Let, me back this up with some statistics. On an average American needs 1500 calories a day. However, if you have fast foods, these add up to your normal calories, which in long term could be prove to be very lethal. It will be not a surprise, when you have a big belly.

c) The Way We Live: For most part our day, is spent in office, working in front of computers or laptops. This in long term slows our body metabolism. We do not have time to do exercises. This is one of the major reasons that, we have big stomach.

Sleeping Immediately After Eating Food: Let me picture this situation for you" You are tired after working in office, come back to home, have your dinner and go to sleep immediately". Now let us analyse this in detail. First, you have food and then you sleep. This leaves your body to do two things, one is to breakdown your food and then to repair other body parts during sleep. Ideally, you should have four hours of gap between your dinner and the sleep.

Alcohol and Beer Belly: Believe me or not, alcohol and beer belly have very close relation. Some research has shown that, excess intake of alcohol, increases the appetite, which in turn, you guessed it right, is responsible for your big stomach. It is a myth that alcohol is liquid; however, it contains empty calories. - 33688
